The symptoms of anxiety disorder include the following physical effects: breathlessness, palpitations, chest pains, sickness to the stomach, dizziness and nausea. The primary effect of anxiety is panic attack. Panic attacks are abrupt gushes of overwhelming fear that may come without warning and without an obvious cause. These will get you the same symptoms as anxiety, but is more serious than anxiety.

This applies to cases where anxiety attacks only occur very rarely, but when they become more frequent with time, the matter needs clearly to be attended to. The course of treatment for these attacks is determined by its intensity and severity. Self help or self realization might help some people with mild cases of anxiety to control the attack and even to manage to eliminate it.

Anxiety attacks often occur when your body becomes alarmed by a physical or mental threat. Anxiety is often accompanied by physical sensations such as heart palpitations, nausea, and chest pain, shortness of breath, stomach aches, headache, dry mouth or sexual dysfunctions.

Anxiety disorders are very real and serious for those inflicted with them, and often present with physical symptoms such as sweating, muscle tension, headaches, stomach problems, shortness of breath and a rapid heart rate. While such conditions remain constant for some people, for others symptoms may escalate to full-blown anxiety attacks.

In order to understand anxiety, and depression, you should know that many times, these conditions are caused from a shortage of serotonin and dopamine in the body. These are hormones which are naturally occurring and encourage a feeling of well being and happiness, but sometimes, the brain doesn't make enough of these chemicals, so we are left feeling anxious and depressed for no apparent reason.

The main objective of all the therapies is to help develop a healthy lifestyle for a person so that they can lead a life without anxiety. This means that unless a person wants to inculcate these good habits and positive thoughts in their life nobody can help them. The main effort should come from the person himself/herself. To start inculcating these good habits one should start eating healthy foods and avoid junk food. Exercising regularly has been proven to be a very effective way to reduce anxiety.

Anxiety disorders share numerous similar attributes with other psychological disorders. However, they also have distinct descriptions. Phobias are often attributed to unresolved childhood fears. Various phobias have already been identified, according to their corresponding trigger. Most phobias are also deemed as irrational or illogical.

Treating anxiety disorder conditions is no easy task as it requires considerable patience and resilience on the part of the victim. The sufferer needs to remain hopeful even when the going gets tough, because only then will he/she be able to win their life back. The good news however is that there are so many different treatment options available today that if even one fails, one has a plethora of other choices to choose from.
